About Jennifer
I have been an instructor of the Nia Technique® since October 2006 after completing my White Belt. Since then, I have earned my Green, Blue, and Brown Belts. Thanks to Nia®, I discovered my “inner dancer,” lost weight, gained body confidence, and improved my flexibility. I hope to bring the energy, joy, and supportive community of Nia® to others.
About Nia
Nia® is a holistic approach to lifestyle and fitness that blends movements and principles from dance, martial arts, and healing arts. It was created in the 1983 by Debbie Rosas and Carlos Rosas. They began training teachers in the early 1990s when they set up their international headquarters in Portland, Oregon. Today, Debbie Rosas and the next generation of trainers and choreographers continue to educate and be pioneers for future generations in fitness and health. Anyone who teaches Nia® must undergo a week-long intensive training and renew their license annually. Continuing education is also required of Nia teachers.
